The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

A woman tried to set herself on fire Thursday during a protests at the Justice Palace in Beirut.

The mother of an inmate in Roumieh spilled ful on herself but was stopped from lighting fire by a security force, media reports indicated.

The woman was later transferred to Rafik Hariri hospital after fainting.

Protesters have burned tyres infront of the Palace and threw stones at its wondows.

Families of Roumieh Prison inmates protested outside Justice Palace to demand permissions to visit their inmates following reports that a large number of inmates have been injured during the riots earlier this week.
