Now Lebanon - Moussawi calls for prison reform - April 7, 2011

Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hussein Moussawi on Thursday said that the action taken by security forces using force to end the riot in Roumieh Prison is not enough, calling for “bold reforms aiming to reorganize prisons, prisoners and trials.”
Moussawi added that it is vital to make reforms in order to end the bitter reality that the prisoners are facing, according to the National News Agency.
Security forces stormed Roumieh Prison on Tuesday after talks failed to secure the release of three guards detained by inmates who have been demanding amnesty and better conditions.
