The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - LAF arrests 28 in Bekaa, September 1, 2010

NOW Lebanon’s correspondent reported on Wednesday that the Lebanese Armed Forces’ (LAF) raids in the Bekaa valley led to the arrest of 28 people.

The LAF arrested 24 Sudanese for illegally entering Lebanese territory and 4 Lebanese owners of the farm where the raid took place earlier this morning, the correspondent reported.
