The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Iloubnan - Qabalan urges NTC to probe Imam Sadr's case, October 21, 2011


Deputy Head of the Islamic Shiite Supreme Council, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, called upon the Libyan National Transitional Council (NTC) to pursue the bad actions of former Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi and look into the disappearance of Imam Moussa Sadr and his companions in Libya. Qabalan, in his Friday sermon, urged the NTC to unveil the truth behind the Imam's case, assuring that Lebanon would send a delegation to Libya to help NTC probe the case and reach truth and justice. Qabalan congratulated the Libyan public on its victory over Gaddafi and its regime, hoping for Libya stability and prosperity.
