The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Alleged Israeli collaborator’s friends condemn his arrest, October 21, 2011

Friends of Sheikh Hassan Msheimesh issued a statement on Friday questioning “the hasty arrest” of Msheimesh, who was charged for collaborating with Israel.The signatories accused Hezbollah of pressuring Msheimesh’s family, adding that they will consider him a "prisoner of conscience" until they receive irrefutable proof of the Sheikh’s guilt.On Wednesday, Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr charged Msheimesh and Samer Ali Hajj Hassan with collaborating with Israel and providing information on Hezbollah in exchange for money.
