The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Allouch: Decision of STL funding is Iran's, October 18, 2011

Future Movement official Mustafa Allouch said on Tuesday that the decision to pay Lebanon’s share of funding to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) is “made by Iran.”Allouch also told the Free Lebanon radio station that Prime Minister Najib Mikati’s cabinet “is an extension of the Syrian cabinet.”In June, a new cabinet dominated by the Hezbollah-led March 8 coalition and headed by Mikati was formed and granted parliament’s vote of confidence on July 7.Four Hezbollah members have been indicted by the UN-backed court, which is investigating the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. However, the Shia group strongly denied the charges and refuses to cooperate with the court.Lebanon contributes 49 percent of the STL’s annual funding.
