The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Daily Star - Authorities arrest 2 arson suspects in Sidon, December 2, 2011


SIDON, Lebanon: Two men were arrested Thursday on suspicion of involvement in the case of multiple cars that were set on fire in different neighborhoods of Sidon, a security source said.
According to the source, police are questioning two men in the case of four cars that were set ablaze Sunday.
The two men are Palestinian nationals and in their 20s, according to the source.
The two were stopped while driving a Chevrolet in which police found empty water jugs containing traces of gasoline, a hose used to empty and fill fuel tanks and electric wires.
