iloubnan- Ghanem describes Mikati's step as "very important", December 1, 2011

MP  Robert Ghanem stressed that, in principle, Prime Minister(PM) Najib Mikati's step spared Lebanon many big problems, describing the step as very important.

The Deputy added, "on the legal level, the cabinet embodies the executive power combined; however, the Prime Minister has a private account which he can use within certain conditions of which the STL subject is not included in."

Ghanem asked whether the end justifies the means? And whether the disagreement on the Tribunal justifies caving to such a procedure?

Responding to a question, the Deputy confirmed that Hezbollah approved, funding the Tribunal provisionally, with the hope that its protocol would be adjusted later.

Speaking about the adjustments that the Tribunal's protocol might undergo, Ghanem explained that they "come under abstention trials section, considering that caving to the court and defending accused people is the best way to any prejudiced group."
