The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

iloubnan- Mikati's decision to finance STL is heroic, says Mufti Shaar, December 3, 2011

Mufti of Tripoli and North Lebanon, Malek Shaar, Friday welcomed PM Mikati's position on the financing of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), describing it as "heroic and courageous" decision upon which the stability of the country depended. He maintained that said decision represented an important turning point in terms of justice.

The words of the Mufti came during an inauguration ceremony of a specialized medical center in the district of Saint Maroun in Tripoli.

Minister Ahmad Karami represented the head of government during said celebration.
