The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Military court jails Jordanian terrorist

BEIRUT: The Military Tribunal sentenced a Jordanian man on Thursday to 10 years of hard labor for belonging to a terrorist group. It also delayed the trial of two Palestinian suspects. The tribunal, presided over by Judge Nizar Khalil, charged arrested Jordanian suspect Abdel Razzak Abu Saado with belonging to an armed group in the aim of conducting terrorist activities. Abu Saado will be deported after serving his time. – The Daily Star
