The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - As-Sharq al-Awsat: Hezbollah to respond to Bellemare’s statement - September 2, 2010

As-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper quoted on Thursday a Hezbollah source as saying that the party will announce its official position on Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) Prosecutor General Daniel Bellemare’s Tuesday statement during the next few hours.

Bellemare told NOW Lebanon in an exclusive interview that the tribunal will not file in September an indictment in the case of the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and emphasized that the STL is not politicized.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is expected to make a speech on Friday.
