The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Palestinian protest calls for improved conditions - July 05, 2011

BEIRUT: A group of Palestinians held a sit-in protest at Riyad al-Solh Square Tuesday and sent a delegation to Parliament on Palestinian human and social rights in the country, addressed to Speaker Nabih Berri and MPs.
The statement stressed the need for Parliament to address issues including the Palestinians’ right to work and ownership, the reconstruction of Nahr al-Bared Camp, as well as the situation of the Palestinian camps and the need for better services.
