The Daily Star - SSNP denies Al-Bilad accusations - July 14, 2011

BEIRUT: The Syrian Social Nationalist Party denounced Wednesday a report in the Saudi newspaper, Al-Bilad, accusing the party of involvement in the assassination of former Minister Pierre Gemayel and the attempted assassination of journalist May Chidiac.
In a statement, the SSNP said the report aimed to cover up for the criminals behind the assassinations. “The SSNP has always condemned political assassinations and has emphasized achieving justice,” it said.
The Saudi Al-Bilad newspaper quoted Tuesday a source close to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon as saying that the vehicle used in the 2005 assassination of Gemayel was found at an SSNP office in Koura in north Lebanon.
The SSNP said the report was aimed at targeting pro-resistance groups.
