Now Lebanon - Wahhab: Hezbollah will not hand over members indicted by STL - July 11, 2011

Tawhid Arab Party leader Wiam Wahhab said on Monday that Hezbollah will not hand over the people indicted by the UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), adding that “everyone should know that the feet of Resistance [members] are worth more than all the tribunal judges.”
Wahhab told LBC television that Lebanon will not conflict with the international community if the indicted people are not handed over to the STL.
He added that the cabinet will deliver what is required from it, “but those Resistance members will not be arrested.”
Regarding events in Syria, Wahhab said Hezbollah is a major regional player and Hezbollah will not be affected by the situation in Syria.
The STL indicted four members of the Iranian-and Syrian-backed Hezbollah in connection to the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, but the party’s secretary general, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, ruled out their arrest.
The Syrian government is engaged in a deadly crackdown on protesters, who since March have been demanding the end of 48 years of rule by the Baath Party, which is controlled by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
