The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Daily Star - Envoy urges government to allow Palestinians to work, October 14, 2011

BEIRUT: Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon Abdullah Abdullah urged the government Thursday to create job opportunities for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon particularly for doctors and engineers.“Palestinian engineers in Lebanon number around 130 and employing them will not influence the work of more than 30,000 Lebanese engineers,” Abdullah said.He added that Palestinians living abroad were funneling more than $780 million a year in remittances to their families in Lebanon.
