The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Daily Star - Man arrested in attempt to smuggle narcotic pills, October 18, 2011

BEIRUT: Airport Police arrested a man Monday for attempting to smuggle 9 kg of narcotic pills to the United Arab Emirates, a security source told The Daily Star.
According to the source, police at Rafik Hariri International Airport detained a man they deemed suspicious and searched his briefcase which turned out to have a false bottom, which contained 9 kg of narcotic pills packed in nylon bags.
The police arrested the man for questioning and upon the request of the Prosecution General in Mount Lebanon, the suspect was transferred to the Drug Control Office for further investigations.
