The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Daily Star - Warrant issued for retired army general for spying, October 4, 2011

BEIRUT: An arrest warrant in absentia was issued Tuesday against a former Lebanese Army general on felony charges of spying for Israel.Military Examining Magistrate Imad al-Zein issued the warrant for the arrest of retired Brig.Gen. Ghassan al-Jed on charges of collaborating with Israel’s Mossad secret service.Jed, a member of the Lebanese Army engineering brigade, had fled to Frankfurt, according to a report published by the local newspaper Ad-Diyar in July 2010.In August 2010, security services launched a crackdown on Israeli spy networks in the country.
