The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Military Examining Magistrate Fadi Sawan issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday against a Hizb ut-Tahrir member for distributing leaflets slandering the Lebanese army and Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi.Hundreds of leaflets have been found with the suspect, the National News Agency reported.It said Sawan questioned the media official of the party for the writings on the leaflets.The judge will question the suspect and the media official next week, NNA added.
