The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Media Against Violence condemns threats against Lebanese journalist , October 11, 2011

Media Against Violence organization issued a statement on Tuesday condemning the death threats against Lebanese television presenter and journalist Ali Hamadeh.
“We condemn the death threats made against Hamadeh for his political stances,” the statement said.
“[The threats] represent a security mentality and a [tyrannical] behavior that aims to shut down free voices in Lebanon,” the statement added.
The organization also held the cabinet responsible for the security of journalists.
