The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now lebanon - Nahhas calls for “withdrawing” STL from political discussions, October 15, 2011

Economy Minister Nicolas Nahhas called for “withdrawing the issue” of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) from “political and media [discussions],” the National News Agency reported on Saturday.
Nahhas also said that an article on paying Lebanon’s share of the STL will be included in the 2012 state budget, adding that Lebanon cannot be “isolated from the world.”
Four Hezbollah members have been indicted by the Tribunal’s investigation itno the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. However, the Shia group strongly denied the charges and refuses to cooperate with the court.
Lebanon contributes 49 percent of the STL’s annual funding.
