NOW Lebanon- Berri says “formula” underway to resolve STL funding dispute , November 30, 2011

Speaker Nabih Berri said that a “formula” is underway to resolve the dispute in cabinet over funding the UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL).
“A plan that would allow [us] to resolve the crisis of the STL’s funding will be established to [prevent] the cabinet [from collapsing over the dispute],” Berri said in an interview with As-Safir newspaper published on Wednesday.
However, he said that he will not yet reveal “the details of this formula.”
The Lebanese government is dominated by Hezbollah and its allies, which are insisting that the country cease all cooperation with the STL, set up in the wake of ex-Premier Rafik Hariri’s 2005 murder. Last week, Prime Minister Najib Mikati said that he will resign if the cabinet fails to provide its funding share.
The UN-backed STL has charged four Hezbollah operatives in connection with the assassination.
