The Daily Star- Mikati meets Rai over lunch , November , 29 , 2011

BEIRUT: Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai arrived at the Grand Serail Tuesday for a lunch meeting with Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
Mikati, who arrived from Rome Monday following talks with the Pope, is struggling to resolve the thorny issue of funding the Special Tribunal for Lebanon which is currently threatening the government.
Among other issues, Mikati is expected to tackle the STL funding at his meeting with Rai. Funding for the U.N.-backed tribunal set to prosecute the assassins of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri has been outright rejected by Hezbollah.
Earlier Tuesday, Mikati met with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
