NOW Lebanon- Aoun agreed on STL funding mechanism, says Salhab , December 1, 2011

Change and Reform bloc MP Salim Salhab said on Thursday that his bloc’s leader, MP Michel Aoun, has approved of the mechanism adopted to ensure the transfer of funds to the UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL).
“The STL issue is now behind us,” the MP told the Voice of Lebanon (100.5) radio station.
He added that his bloc supports Prime Minister Najib Mikati’s statement concerning his willingness to enhance the government’s work.
Mikati announced on Wednesday that he transferred Lebanon’s annual share of funding to the STL, which is probing the 2005 murder of ex-Premier Rafik Hariri.

Aoun’s ministers have repeatedly labeled the STL as “unconstitutional” and slammed Mikati’s threat to resign should his Hezbollah-dominated cabinet fail to provide its funding share to the STL.

The tribunal has charged four Hezbollah operatives in connection with the Rafik Hariri assassination.
