A Lebanese expatriate, who works in
an oil company in Yemen, has been released by his captors on Tuesday, reported
the National News Agency.
Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour
received news of his release, it added.
He is in good condition and is on
his way to the Yemeni capital Sanaa.
The Yemeni Interior Ministry had
announced his kidnapping earlier on Tuesday.
It said in a statement: “An expert
(from Lebanese nationality) who works at an oil company was kidnapped in Marib
province.”
The Lebanese expat was heading to
Marib province to the Headquarters of Safer Petroleum Company when a member of
Marib tribe identified as Ahmed Jamilan abducted him.
“Preliminary information revealed
that the accused person kidnapped the Lebanese expert because of a dispute with
the company,” the statement added.
