The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NOW Lebanon - Activists rally on Women’s Day in Beirut, March 8, 2012


Twenty women rights organizations and human rights groups rallied in front of the National Museum in Beirut, on the occasion of the International Women's Day, the National News Agency reported on Thursday.
The activists largely called for gender equality, protecting women from domestic violence and amending the nationality law.
