The Daily Star - 2 Ogero employees to be referred to Military Tribunal, March 2, 2012

BEIRUT: Two Lebanese employees of state-run telecoms operator Ogero arrested last week on charges of collaborating with Israel are expected to be referred to the Military Tribunal later Friday, security sources told The Daily Star.
The two men – identified as Walid Qaddoura and Shawqi Zantoun – were trailed for weeks and arrested last week in the southern coastal city of Sidon after telecommunications analysis by security forces suggested they were in contact with Israeli intelligence.
The two are being held at the directorate general of Lebanese Army Military Intelligence and are expected to be transferred later Friday to the Military Tribunal.
Earlier this year, an arrest warrant was issued against a retired employee for Ogero after he was charged with spying for Israel.
Lebanon has also charged two employees working for Alfa, one of the country’s two mobilephone operators, with spying for the Jewish state.
