The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Daily Star - Police ask for information on missing Aley resident, April 06, 2012


BEIRUT: Police Thursday circulated the photograph and description of a mentally ill woman who went missing in February. According to a police statement Thursday, Noha Hassib Karameh, 38, has not returned since leaving her Aley home on Feb. 27.

Karameh, who is 1.5-meters tall, olive-skinned with black eyes and black hair, suffers from a mental illness, the statement added.

On the day of her disappearance, Karameh was wearing a dark green sweater and black leggings.

The statement requested that anyone who has seen Karameh or has information about her whereabouts to go to the judicial police station in Baabda’s Serail or call 05-921-115 or 05-922-173.
