The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Number of Palestinians in Lebanon jailed for plotting terrorist activities

The Permanent Military Court headed by Nizar Khalil and Judge Mohammad Derbas sentenced five Palestinians to jail for one year on accounts of forming a terrorist organization, reported the National News Agency (NNA) on Wednesday. They were planning to assassinate the prime minister, blow up the US Embassy, and acquire and transfer military equipment, added the NNA. Two other suspects were acquitted.
