The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Syrian truck fired at in Akkar village - July 08, 2011

BEIRUT: A man shot at a Syrian truck after it entered a field in the village of Abboudieh on the northern Lebanese-Syrian border.
The National News Agency reported Thursday that a man known by the name of Wehbe fired shots from his hunting rifle at a Syrian truck that had entered an agricultural field in the village. Police are investigating the incident.
