iloubnan - Mikati met with the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon and reviewed current developments with him - July 01, 2011

Prime Minister Najib Mikati received on Friday at the Grand Serail the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim Ali. They reviewed the current developments after the issuance of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's indictment yesterday, with four arrest warrants against four Lebanese, in the case of the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

After the meeting, the Syrian ambassador said that the speech of Mr. Mikati on this issue was positive but the information leakage made the indictment lose its credibility.

He also denied the visit of an international delegation survey to Damascus.
