Now Lebanon - Abboud: Cabinet to carry out duties if indicted people arrested - July 01, 2011

Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud said on Friday that the cabinet will carry out its duties if it arrests those accused by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s indictment.
Abboud also told Voice of Lebanon (93.3) radio station that the no one can cause tension between the Lebanese people, adding that security is under control.
He also called on politicians to not spread rumors that there is a crisis in Lebanon, particularly through Gulf media outlets.
On Thursday, the STL said in a statement published on its website that the indictment and accompanying arrest warrants were transmitted to the Lebanese authorities.
A judicial official told AFP that four Lebanese suspects are named in the STL’s indictment of the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
Local media said at least two of them are members of the Iranian and Syrian-backed Hezbollah, which has warned it would defend itself if accused.
