Now Lebanon - STL’s indictment is an Israeli “assault,” says Moussawi - July 13, 2011

Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hussein Moussawi said on Wednesday that the UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s (STL) indictment “is an extension to the Israeli assault that started in July 2006.”
“The tribunal, the indictment’s defenders and [supporters] are all contributing, whether they know it or not, to this assault and its outcomes,” the National News Agency quoted him as saying.
“The cabinet is asked to use all Lebanon’s political, diplomatic and defensive capabilities to face this confrontation imposed by the Zionist enemy,” Moussawi added.
Hezbollah’s MP also said that any party that does not support the government in facing Israel’s attempt to violate Lebanon’s maritime border, will be uncovered in front of the Lebanese public.
“Winning over Israel and its partners … will be achieved by forbidding [the enemy] from violating Lebanon’s oil and gas rights,” he added.
The STL indicted four members of the Iranian-and Syrian-backed Hezbollah in connection to the assassination of Rafik Hariri, but the party’s secretary general, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, ruled out their arrest.

Israel's cabinet approved on Sunday a map of the Jewish state's proposed maritime borders with Lebanon, which is to be submitted to the UN.
Following Israel’s approval of the map, Energy Minister Gebran Bassil countered that Lebanon will not give up its maritime rights.
The Lebanese Parliament in August 2010 passed an oil exploration bill, which calls for the establishment of a treasury and a committee to oversee exploration and drilling off Lebanon.
