The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Internal Security Forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle 3 kilograms of narcotic pills from Rafik Hariri International Airport to Qatar, the National News Agency reported on Wednesday.It said ISF officers searched the bag of a traveler which it identified only with his initials as A.B. when they felt suspicious about him.The 20-year-old was arrested after the officers found the drugs concealed in plastic bags in the false bottom of his suitcase, NNA said.The suspect was referred to the Narcotics Bureau for further questioning.
