The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Naharnet: Policeman Injured in Ambush in Brital

A member of the judicial police was injured on Monday when wanted suspects ambushed his patrol in the Bekaa town of Brital, reported the National News Agency.
The ambush led to clashes between the police and three of the suspects, who were travelling in a Pathfinder.
The wounded security official was transferred to a nearby hospital.
