The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Woman allegedly murdered by Sri Lankan maid, february, 23, 2012


The National News Agency reported on Thursday that a Sri Lankan maid “murdered” her employer, Neaamat Monzer, who was born in 1942.
“[Monzer] was repeatedly stabbed with a knife,” the report said, adding that the maid was detained by the relevant authorities.
The alleged murder occurred in Monzer’s residence in Bourj al-Barajneh.
