The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NOW Lebanon - STL judges approve procedural changes, February 20, 2012


Special Tribunal for Lebanon judges have approved some amendments to the Tribunal's Rules of Procedure and Evidence, the STL website reported on Monday.
“There were a limited number of changes, which clarified the existing rules especially in relation to victims,” the statement said.

Four members of  Iranian- and Syrian-backed Hezbollah have been indicted by the UN-backed STL for the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. However, Hezbollah strongly denied the charges and refuses to cooperate with the court.
