The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Naharnet - Israel Releases Lebanese Citizen after Four Years of Imprisonment, February 16, 2012


Israel released on Thursday a Lebanese citizen who had been imprisoned in the Jewish state for four years, reported the National News Agency.
Khaled al-Mohammed, 55, was apprehended on Lebanese territory and jailed by Israel on charges of smuggling drugs into Palestinian territories.
The Red Cross facilitated his release and he was returned to Lebanon through the Naqoura gate in the South.
