The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NOW Lebanon - Lebanese detainee released from Israeli jail, February 17, 2012


A Lebanese detainee in Israeli jail was released from prison and transferred to Lebanon by the International Red Cross via the Naqoura border crossing, the National News Agency reported on Thursday.
Khalid Diab Mohammad, aged 55, was arrested on Lebanese territory by Israeli soldiers and was accused of smuggling drugs into Israel.
