July 28, 2010 - Naharnet - Al-Moqdad: The STL is the Second Crime after Hariri's Assassination

Hizbullah MP Ali al-Moqdad stated Wednesday that the party fears that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's indictment will create internal strife in Lebanon, which is why Hizbullah is bringing up the issue before the decision has been made public.

He told NBN: "From day one of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri's assassination, we feared that the tribunal would be politicized and we knew from the start that the assassination will cause an earthquake, not only in Lebanon, but the whole region."

He stated: "The international tribunal is the second crime after Hariri's assassination" adding that Israel and the U.S. have benefited the most from the crime.
