July 28, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Geagea discusses STL with Sison

The Lebanese Forces press office issued a statement that LF leader Samir Geagea met with US Ambassador to Lebanon Michele Sison on Wednesday to discuss the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), which, it added, the US fully supports.

This comes after controversy erupted earlier this month when Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said the STL is an “Israeli project” designed to create sectarian conflict in the country.

The statement also said Sison assured Geagea that the US administration will do everything it can to help the Lebanese government gain control over its territory to maintain peace.
