The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

July 26, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Jumblatt in France to address STL, says Ad-Diyar

Ad-Diyar newspaper reported on Monday that Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt traveled to France on Sunday to discuss with the country’s officials the current developments in Lebanon, including the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL).

Tension sparked in Lebanon after reports said the STL would soon issue an indictment.

The tribunal is probing the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. There are reports that some Hezbollah members could be named in the indictment.
