July 29, 2010 - Naharnet - Geagea: We Must Wait for Indictment to Find Out whether There Really were False Witnesses

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said Wednesday that people should wait for the indictment in the Special Tribunal for Lebanon to find out whether there really are false witnesses in the case.

He added during a press conference that most of the false witnesses are Syrian and work for the Syrian intelligence, stressing that they are aimed at destabilizing the investigation.

He said that the LF will not accept any indictment that is not supported by facts, noting that there are regional motives behind the escalation in the area.

Responding to Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun's statements on Monday, Geagea said: "Aoun criticizes the March 14 forces' positions and overlooks the March 8 forces' military traits."
