The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

BEIRUT: Lebanese Army Intelligence personnel arrested in the West Bekaa village of Gaza Wednesday four men said to have links with the kidnappers of the seven Estonian cyclists a, the National News Agency reported.
The army raided a car repair garage and arrested four men, three Lebanese and a Syrian, according to the NNA.Although the reasons for the arrests were still unknown, the NNA said it might be connected to the case of the kidnapped Estonians.Seven Estonian cyclists were abducted by masked men on March 23 while traveling through the Bekaa Valley shortly after visiting Syria.They were held in captivity for nearly four months and released unharmed on July 14.Lebanese police shot and killed Tuesday two key suspects in Western Bekaa who were described by the ISF as “key members” of the cell that plotted to kidnap the seven Estonians.
