The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Roumieh prisoners release all guards, September 23, 2011

The National News Agency (NNA) reported on Friday that “the situation in Roumieh Prison has returned to normal.”“The guards captured by Fatah al-Islam prisoners were released and prisoners were sent back to their cells,” the NNA added.Fatah al-Islam prisoners captured earlier in the day a number of security forces members in Roumieh Prison.
