The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NOW Lebanon- Abducted Jassem brother reportedly died in Syrian jail , November 13, 2011

Lebanese Institute for Democracy and Human Rights head Nabil al-Halabi said on Sunday that Jassem Merii al-Jassem, one of the four Syrian brothers kidnapped in Lebanon, has died in a Syrian prison, MTV reported.
In March, Syrian nationals Jassem and his three brothers Chedid, Ahmad and Ali were reportedly abducted in Lebanon.
Thousands of Syrians have fled violence in their country to Lebanon, and several Syrian nationals have reportedly been kidnapped in Lebanon.
