The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Daily Star - A Draft Law To Protect Women From Domestic Violence

BEIRUT: A draft law to protect women from domestic violence was presented to the Cabinet on Tuesday by Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar. Najjar presented the bill and asked that it be included in the Cabinet’s agenda. It formed part of a campaign launched by the Justice Ministry dubbed “Imposing Stronger Sanctions on Domestic Violence.” – The Daily Star
