Iloubnan - Gemayel says Nasrallah made miscalculations - October 31, 2010

Kataeb party leader Amine Gemayel stated on Saturday that Special Tribunal for Lebanon indictment act - though it wouldn’t be implemented - would have a very important value and unveil many facts. He urged President Michel Sleiman to defend the STL and commit to justice and constitutional oath.
In an interview with Free Lebanon radio station, Gemayel stated that Hezbollah secretary general Hassan Nasrallah was mistaken either with his calculations or with his policy which mainly relied on the weapons his party had. Although he said that “No one in the world” could eliminate Hezbollah, Gemayel, however, stressed the need for understanding over the issue of weapons.

“If the weapons were the objective and cause of Hezbollah, there would be no way to debate the war issue”, he insisted.

Moreover, Gemayel pointed out that Lebanon was currently witnessing a Coup against the political system. He said there was an ideological and political terrorism targeting the Lebanese political officials. He then warned against any deviation from the Lebanese political system.
