The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Naharnet - Saudi King's Son Meets Assad to Defuse Lebanon Tension over Nasrallah's Boycott Call - October 31, 2010


Saudi King Abdullah's son, Prince Abdel Aziz bin Abdullah, will meet Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus "in the coming hours" in a bid to defuse Lebanon tension over a call by Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to boycott the International Tribunal, Elaf website said.

    It said the Saudi Prince will convey a message to Assad from King Abdullah. The website said Prince Abdel Aziz and Assad will discuss "a mechanism to ease the political tension" triggered by Nasrallah's boycott call. It did not say whether the Saudi Prince will make a similar trip to Lebanon.
