The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Photographers Syndicate condemns Syrian disappearance of Reuters journalists - March 27, 2011

The Lebanese Syndicate of Photographers on Sunday issued a statement condemning the disappearance of two Lebanese Reuters journalists who went missing Saturday night after they were supposed to have returned to Beirut.
The syndicate added that their fate is unknown and asked President Michel Sleiman and his Syrian counterpart, Bashar al-Assad, to intervene in the case.
Earlier on Sunday, Reuters reported that two of its employees went missing in Syria.
More than 30 people have been confirmed killed in a spiral of violence that has gripped Syria since protests broke out on March 15, with demonstrators demanding major reforms.
