The Daily Star - Sexual health unit launched by Social Affairs Ministry - March 25, 2011

BEIRUT: Caretaker Social Affairs Minister Salim Sayegh launched Thursday a new unit for sexual and reproductive health Thursday, which takes over from a U.N.-sponsored project the ministry had been running for the last decade in partnership with the Health Ministry. Sayegh discussed the necessity of preventive measures to tackle the behavior of some teenagers resulting from their lack of information about sexual matters which he said “often leads to drug abuse, dropping out from school, and early sexual relations generating sexual diseases.”
